
The shareholders of Owen Bird Law Corporation are pleased to announce the appointment of Jocelyn Bellerud and Paul Brackstone to Owen Bird’s Executive Committee, to serve as managing directors, effective April 1, 2022.
Paul is an experienced litigator with almost 20 years of experience representing clients on real estate, corporate and commercial disputes, appearing before all levels of court in British Columbia and at the Supreme Court of Canada. Paul joined Owen Bird in 2005 after articling at Owen Bird. Paul graduated from law school with the prestigious Law Society Gold Medal for the highest academic standing in his class.
Jocelyn practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and wealth management, advising individuals and private enterprises on business reorganizations, transactions, corporate governance and succession planning. Jocelyn joined Owen Bird in 2012 after articling at Owen Bird. Jocelyn founded and served as Chair of Owen Bird’s Diversity, Inclusion and Community Involvement Committee. Jocelyn is passionate about serving her community and is active in the Vancouver and international philanthropic and business communities.
In addition to this new role, Paul and Jocelyn will continue to serve their clients, their community and professional commitments and Jocelyn will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of Interlaw, a long established elite global network of independent law firms comprising 7500+ lawyers based in over 150 cities around the world.
Paul and Jocelyn are honored to serve as managing directors of Owen Bird and its strong team of lawyers, shareholders and staff.
