Heather Maconachie, one of our long-time shareholders has retired. Heather began her career with the firm as a summer student in 1992 and worked her way up through the ranks—a testament to her dedication and loyalty to the firm.

After many years with our firm, Jim Carpick, a valued shareholder and accomplished litigator, is retiring. Jim has worked on a wide range of legal matters and has always been a fierce advocate for his clients. In addition to his work in the courtroom, Jim has played an important role in mentoring junior lawyers and sharing his experience to help them grow in their careers.

Prior to joining Owen Bird, Coco practiced as a litigation associate at an international law firm in downtown Vancouver and most recently practiced as a lawyer with the Department of Justice Canada.
