The lawyers and staff of Owen Bird Law Corporation wish to congratulate Alan Frydenlund on his recent Interlaw Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to those who have “given above and beyond to lnterlaw over many years of service”.
Announced at the 2019 Annual Global Meeting in Beijing, Interlaw Chair Glenn Cunningham noted that while lifetime awards are rarely given, Alan was certainly deserving:
“His long-standing service to lnterlaw has been exemplary. His service to the board in many capacities and his friendship to everybody, especially those that have found themselves on the West coast of Canada, is legendary.”
Praising Alan’s “generosity of spirit,” Mr. Cunningham went on to emphasize the positive impact Alan has had on Interlaw NextGen, reinvigorating the Small Business Team structure and bringing a renewed interest and participation from all Canadian firms in Interlaw.
Alan’s contributions to Interlaw have spanned more than two decades, including acting as both a former director and corporate secretary, and most recently serving with Interlaw’s Banking, Financing and Insolvency leadership team.
Since his call to the bar in 1983, Alan has been involved in several of British Columbia’s more significant financings and Canada’s more significant security realizations. Qualified as both a barrister and solicitor, Alan has served clients in areas such as real estate development, construction, hotels and resorts, forestry, marine, and manufacturing, to name a few.
Owen Bird is proud of Alan and his long standing commitment to Interlaw, which offers our clients access to an international network of corporate and commercial independent law firms in 125 cities worldwide.
