Paul Brown was re-elected to the Board of Directors of Providence Health Care for a two-year term. In addition to serving on the Board, Paul also serves on the Governance & Human Resources Committee, the Mission & Ethics Committee, and the Real Estate Evaluation Committee.
Providence Health Care is one of the largest faith-based health care organizations in Canada, operating 16 facilities in and around Vancouver, B.C., including St. Paul’s Hospital and Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. Providence has more than 1,000 physicians, 7,200 staff and 1,500 volunteers who deliver compassionate care to patients and residents in B.C., with a focus on six populations of emphasis: cardiopulmonary risks and illness, HIV/AIDS, mental health, renal risks and illness, specialized needs in aging, and urban health. Providence is the home of the Institute for Heart and Lung Health, and the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS.
