OWEN BIRD WELCOMES IMAN HOSSEINI AND YUE LIU

Iman Hosseini – Owen Bird is pleased to announce that Iman has joined our firm as the newest member of our Employment & Labour, Construction Disputes, BC Estate Litigation and Litigation Practice Groups.

Iman is experienced in a broad range of complex litigation matters including disputes arising from corporate and commercial contracts and relationships, employment, construction, estates, and real estate transactions. He has appeared at every level of Court in British Columbia, various provincial and federal tribunals, and has successfully resolved matters through mediation and arbitration. Iman takes a client-centred and solution-focused approach to advocacy, and is committed to delivering practical, strategic, and efficient results that meet his clients’ unique objectives.

Iman received his law degree from the University of Ottawa and a BA (Hons.) from Simon Fraser University. Prior to joining Owen Bird, Iman practiced as an Associate at a leading national law firm in Vancouver.

Yue Liu – Owen Bird is pleased to announce that Yue has joined our firm as the newest member of our Business Law, Financial Services, Real Estate Transactions & Commercial Tenancies, and Wills, Trusts & Estate Practice Groups.

Yue’s practice encompasses corporate and commercial matters, including incorporating companies, establishing partnerships, drafting and reviewing contracts. She also advises on mergers and acquisitions, representing sellers and buyers in both asset and share transactions. Yue is experienced in real estate transactions, handling both residential and commercial conveyancing and refinancing, and drafting and reviewing commercial leases for landlords and tenants. Yue has also assisted families and individuals with across-border estate planning and estate administration.

Yue is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese and provides legal advice in both languages. She attended a prestigious law school in China and subsequently practiced as a lawyer. Yue later received her Ph.D. in law and J.D. degree from the University of British Columbia, Peter A. Allard School of Law. Prior to joining Owen Bird, she practiced as an associate at a mid-size firm in Richmond and previously articled and practiced at a global firm in downtown Vancouver.

Outside of work, Yue enjoys spending time with her family and her golden retriever, exploring the outdoors through hiking, and traveling.
