Janice Jua Fujikawa

Janice returns to Owen Bird as an Articled Student after summering with the firm in 2023. She earned her J.D. from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law, where she served as President of both the Business Law Association and the Pan Asian Law Society. Janice gained practical experience through the UVic Law Co-op program and represented her law school in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot. She further honed her legal skills as a Research Assistant for the Dean of Law and as a Clinician representing clients at the UVic Business Law Clinic and the UBC Law Students’ Legal Advice Program.

Janice is also actively involved with the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers B.C., where she has been re-elected to the Board of Directors.

Prior to law, Janice graduated with a B.A. with Distinction from the University of British Columbia and worked in real estate, public speaking, and debate.
