The lawyers and staff of Owen Bird Law Corporation wish to congratulate Alan Frydenlund on his recent Interlaw Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to those who have “given above and beyond to lnterlaw over many years of service”.

Announced at the 2019 Annual Global Meeting in Beijing, Interlaw Chair Glenn Cunningham noted that while lifetime awards are rarely given, Alan was certainly deserving:

“His long-standing service to lnterlaw has been exemplary. His service to the board in many capacities and his friendship to everybody, especially those that have found themselves on the West coast of Canada, is legendary.”

Owen Bird recognizes that Human Rights Day marks the 71st anniversary of the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On this day in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This was a milestone document proclaiming the inalienable rights that everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
